Steve

Steve is co-owner of Warrior Power Yoga and Southtown Yoga Loft. He is a Veteran having proudly served in the United State Marine Corps. After leaving the USMC he worked for several major retailers in corporate leadership roles for the last 25 years. His yoga journey started approx. 8 years ago, jokingly he says, “after my wife dragged me kicking and screaming to my first yoga class”. Steve didn’t know then what an impact that one class would have on his life. Since then, focusing mainly on yoga as his primary form of exercise along with a healthier diet, he's lost over 60lbs. Through this he's found a true passion for yoga, living a healthier lifestyle, and now he wants to share that with you.

Steve volunteers his free time serving on the Board of Directors for Veterans Yoga Project. VYP is an educational and advocacy organization dedicated to improving the health and well-being of military veterans. They support recovery and promote resilience among veterans, their families, and their communities that deal with the symptoms of PTSD. He also volunteers as a "Here to Be" Partner with lululemon. Here to Be is a social impact program that creates access to yoga and meditation across social, physical, and economic barriers. They create access to yoga and meditation as tools for wellbeing to unlock real change in people and communities.

Steve is a certified yoga instructor and is a registered Continuing Education Provider with Yoga Alliance. He has over 3000 hours of combined teaching, training and certifications in health & wellness including Mindful Resilience for Trauma Recovery, Advanced Therapeutic Essential Adaptive Yoga, Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga and is currently training to obtain his Yoga Therapy certification. He has worked with the San Antonio Spurs, lululemon, Hyatt Regency and other corporate partners, various military organizations, non-profits, professional athletes, professional organizations and many others.

Steve also is a Public Speaker focusing on health, lifestyle, fitness, and overall wellness. He’s presented to and coached corporate leaders, Executive Directors and other individuals helping them lead happier, healthier, and more productive lives. Through his own health & wellness journey, he shares his personal story that has inspired and enlightened audiences motivating them to overcome health obstacles, learning to embrace happiness both in work and everyday life.
