"Yoga Steve"

“Yoga Steve” is a Veteran of the USMC. He is a father, husband, certified yoga instructor and owner of Warrior Power Yoga and Southtown Yoga Loft. Steve also volunteers serving on the Board of Directors for Veterans Yoga Project and is a "Here to Be Partner" for lululemon.

Steve’s yoga journey started in 2012, jokingly he says, “after my wife dragged me kicking and screaming to my first yoga class”. Steve didn’t know then what an impact that one class would have on his life. Since then, focusing mainly on yoga as his primary form of exercise along with a healthy diet, he's lost over 60lbs. Through this he's found a true passion for yoga, living a healthier lifestyle, and now he wants to share that with you.
Steve received his 200hr RYT through the Baptiste Institutes Expand Your Power teacher training program. Steve completed Baptiste Institute’s Level 1 – Journey Into Power intensive and Baptiste Institutes Level 2 intensive - The Sannyasin’s Journey. He’s also attended their Art of Assisting program and 40 Days to a Personal Revolution through the institute.
As a veteran himself, Steve wanted to find another way of giving back to his veteran community. To help with that, he completed his Mindful Resilience Training for Trauma Recovery through Veterans Yoga Project. This program assists Veterans, active-duty military personnel, First Responders and many others, helping them better deal with the symptoms of PTSD.

In addition to his teaching and Community work, Steve works as a personal Coach & Mentor to Executives and many more individuals helping them lead happier, healthier, and more productive lives. Steve is a Public Speaker focusing on health, lifestyle, fitness, and overall wellness. He's presented to multiple corporations and corporate employees, and through his own health & wellness journey, he's shares his personal story that has inspired and enlightened audiences motivating them to overcome health obstacles, learning to embrace happiness both in work and everyday life.

Steve concentrates on linking the power of yoga on and off the mat, living a healthy lifestyle and empowering students to step out of their comfort zone. He is truly committed to your personal growth and development, helping you invest in your greatest resource – “YOU”.
