Steve Ausdenmoore

“Yoga Steve” is a Veteran of the USMC. He is a father, husband, corporate professional, certified yoga instructor and owner of Southtown Yoga Loft. Steve also volunteers as an Ambassador for Veterans Yoga Project and sits on their Board of Directors.

Steve’s yoga journey started in 2012, jokingly he says, “after my wife dragged me kicking and screaming to my first yoga class”. Steve didn’t know then what an impact that one class would have on his life. Now over 6 years and 60lbs later, Steve has found a true passion for yoga.

Steve received his 200hr RYT through the Baptiste Institutes Expand Your Power teacher training program. Steve completed Baptiste Institute’s Level 1 – Journey Into Power intensive and Baptiste Institutes Level 2 intensive - The Sannyasin’s Journey. He’s also attended their Art of Assisting program and 40 Days to a Personal Revolution through the institute. With over 500hrs of training, Steve will become a certified Baptiste Instructor in 2018.

As a veteran himself, Steve wanted to find another way of giving back to his veteran community. To help with that, he completed his Mindful Resilience Training for Trauma Recovery through Veterans Yoga Project. This program assists Veterans, active-duty military personnel, First Responders and many others, helping them better deal with the symptoms of PTSD.

Steve believes in the concept of “being of service to others”, not just in yoga but in life. His teaching style focuses on a strong body & mind through a powerful and fun practice. He concentrates on linking the power of yoga on and off the mat, living a healthy lifestyle and empowering students to step out of their comfort zone. He is truly committed to their personal growth and development, helping you invest in your greatest resource – “you”.
