Class Descriptions
Asthanga – Mixed Levels
With a traditional Ashtanga opening and closing, the core of the class is a fun mix-up of arm balances, inversions, challenging backbends and more. We will heat the room naturally while purifying the muscles and internal organs. Open to students of all levels -- it's about exploration and adventure! If you're new to the Ashtanga practice we offer modifications, use of props and lots of chances to rest and observe.
First Friday: Vino & Vinyasa
Southtown has become the place to be every First Friday of the month. Why not kick off your evening by joining in this fun and exhilarating all-levels flow class. It's a funky blend of breathing, postures, music and laughter. Afterwards, stick around for a glass of wine and conversation prior to embarking on your S. Alamo stroll! *New Student Promo not valid.
Early Bird Yoga
Wake up the body, mind, and spirit with a series of gentle warm ups moving onto a more dynamic practice to energize you for the day.
Basic Beginner Series
The Basic Beginner Series is a 6-week class designed to provide a foundation on which to build your yoga practice. We'll explore some basic guidelines to help you prepare your body and mind for your practice. We'll teach you how to properly utilize your breath, along with some helpful tools for remaining present and centered. We'll also explore in detail how to find correct alignment, including how to properly modify all of the most commonly practiced yoga postures. Next series begins June 2 at 4:30-5:30pm. Sign up now.
Yoga for Runners & Cyclists
Yoga for Runners & Cyclists is a recovery class designed for athletes looking to stretch and relax their muscles to help improve their performance and reduce the risk of injury. This class offers a balance of yoga, breath-work and relaxation that will strengthen your core and improve your balance and flexibility. No previous yoga experience is necessary.
Prenatal Yoga
This hour-long class will focus on postures that are appropriate for pregnant women with an emphasis on breathing, relaxation and muscle toning. Have the best possible pregnancy and delivery by learning to stretch and strengthen the body, focus and relax the mind, control breathing and develop awareness. Best of all, meet a lovely community of pregnant women in your neighborhood! Classes Wednesday at 6:30pm and every 2nd & 4th Sunday at 12pm.
Strong Flow
Get strong and flexible through this dynamic practice! This vigorous style of yoga links breath with movement through a sequence of Sun Salutations and postures. There's plenty of toning and lean muscle building for your entire body. The smooth, continuous flow deepens breathing, increases endurance, and will test the edge of your balance and flexibility. The rigorous, moving flow in this class will build heat - an excellent aid in increasing flexibility and eliminating mental and physical toxins.
Slow Flow
This class will encourage us to discover the potential in slowing the breath and flow of vinyasa. We will explore in depth and focus on blending alignment with our own natural rhythm of movement. A great class for any level of student wishing to establish or reinforce a strong foundation.
Mommy & Me Yoga

Babies, bring your Mommies to this class designed specifically with the two of you in mind. Strengthen your bond with one another through a respectful practice of pranayama (breathing), asanas (poses), baby games, & soothing activities, in this new life endeavor your Mommies have been calling "Parenthood". We will honor your developmental stage and welcome you as you are (fussy, happy and every mood in between). Appropriate for ages birth to walking. Classes every Thursday at 10:30am and every 2nd & 4th Saturday of the month at 10:30am.
